Changing Worlds

Changing Worlds: A South Australian story website is an online educational resource. It facilitates the teaching and learning of the Australian Curriculum priority Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures for students in Years 4 and 5.

The concept involves students taking on the role of time travelers, exploring artworks, artifacts and historical documents along a timeline. As students progress through the site, they are asked to analyse and interpret these sources and answer inquiry questions.

The project required Rightside to develop a content framework and interface that would appeal to this age group, whilst achieving educational outcomes. It was created for the Department for Education and Child Development in collaboration with the South Australian Museum and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
